Our Top Tips
Keep it Relevant
You want to show off your work experience as employers will be very interested in what you have done in the past, but make sure you explain why this experience makes you a great candidate. Try and link your experience to the job you are applying for by using examples of transferable skills you used.
Don't Overload
You want to sell yourself to the employer, but at the same time you don't want to overload your CV with information as chances are the employer won't read it all. Your CV should be no more than 2 sides of A4 paper. Include key words in your sections that will stand out, as the employer won't have time to be searching for key information.
Your CV is your first impression on an employer, so make it a good one. Use clear sections and make sure your grammar and spelling is all correct. You should also ensure that all your basic information such as name and contact details appear at the top of your front page and are correct. It's easier than you think to make a mistake on the simple parts.
